Today were off to a favela tour.

We meet our guide Alberto. With Us were two other girls aka 'the gorgeous girls' who I think prettty much had no idea what favela tour involves as they were dressed in skimpy outfits and flip flops and here was us 4 in our full on walking boots looking like boys!

We visited Rocinha, the largest favela in Brazil. Fast and the Furious 5 was filmed here!!

So the favela took me by susprise. I was expecting really poor conditions basic amenities, similar to the slums in India, instead it was the opposite. The people here are poor, yet they all seem to have a decent size televesion (often flat screen) with sky tv!

You could live there and never have to leave the favelas as everything from food, restaurants, electrical, furnishig is all available.

Spent the evening at Mudbug bar in Copacabana, making our way through brazillian cocktails!
