First proper day in Rio : )

Weather isn't as sunny as I thought! More muggy and even rain! Grrrrr

Hoping to see Christ the Redeemer but it's too cloudy!

Met Aussie Tim at brekkie whose been travelling for 5months. He decided to join us to see famous lapa steps.

Our first rio bus journey and they aren't that bad although there are sooo many but we've just about got our head around it.

Laps stairs are truley unique, full of weird wonderul tiles although the painter seems to be obsessed with big breasted pregnant women!

Copacobana beach time!

Decided to squeeze in Sugarloaf mountain aka Reena's obsession! Tim had enough of four looney londeners that he headed back to the hostel.

Reena met Sandra the lady who tried to rip us off with a tour!

Although the view was amazing we didn't get go see sunset due to clouds :( I need sunnnn!

Finally my first decent meal which doesn't consist of potatoes! Yummy Italian! If in doubt order pizza can never go wrong! Even managed to order in broken spanish.

Tonight is Lapa street party or as we've renamed it Slapper street party.

Lapa is in what we in London would call the Brixton, Mile end type of area. The streets are all closed off and turns into one huge party with load of lil huts and stalls selling drinks an making ciprihanas!

People wear all sorts here, you have the guys who think they have swagga with low rises jeans and then a cropped belly button tshirt! (and they wonder why they are single) you have the girls who follow the trend of either hanging there breasts out or belly, the brave do both! Finally you have the transvestines and trust when I say the place is full of them! There was one group of 6 who tried it on with a guy, a genuine guy, and he ran a mile!! Poor guy must be scared for life.

Lapa is deffo the place to people watch!

Only day 2 and we have already thrown caution out of the window; decided to try a street ciprahana an omd a few sips an your tipsy or in reena's case 1 sip! The drinks are lethal!!

Tanna had major mood swings today! Think it's a fear of the transvestines or she wante to go back to sleep as usual!
This girl can nap 24/7!

Decided to move from the street party into a bar where we saw Tim who we were supposed to come to the street party with for a farewell send off as he's gouge back to Oz. Because a certain someone uh hum Tanna over snoozed we ended up goig with our new new York roomies Grace and Neha.
