We arrived in Taupo on Wednesday afternoon after a 2 and a half hour bus journey from Hamilton. We got settled and then walked into town to explore our latest destination! We walked along the lake for a little bit too which was really pretty. On day 2 we went on the Earnest Kemp which is a boat ride around the lake and out to the Maori carvings in the cliff edge. Today we are leaving Hamilton and heading down to Taupo! It's a 2ish hour bus journey! We sure will miss Hamilton though! We've had an absolutely amazing time here with Jo and Dave and we've done SO much and seen some amazing sights! See ya Hamilton! Next stop Taupo!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAUDIA!!! Today we had a pretty chilled morning for Claudia's birthday, then we went to the cinema and saw Monsters University which was awesome and then we went shopping! Now we are about to go out for dinner to celebrate!

Today we climbed up Mt Maungatautari in Cambridge which is about 20 minutes from Hamilton, it was a 1 and a half hour walk to the summit. When we reached the top we had a picnic lunch and then started walking down again which took just under 1 hr 30mins. This was a great walk, difficult, but great! It's a pretty steep climb up through tree roots and under growth. It was a really awesome walk through the NZ bush. We're pretty tired after that walk now! Love Sop...

So it's Sunday on our big adventure weekend and today was definitely the biggest adventure yet! We went to Waitomo and into the depths of the glow worm caves! We started our caving adventure with black water rafting through the cave on rubber tubes. We got wet suited up and headed down into the depths of the cave with a quick practice for jumping off waterfalls whilst in the cave!
