We were up at 6am and ready to roll. Opened the curtains and ... more grey skies and rain. We will not be defeated!
It was back into our our very limited cold weather gear and we headed out. We walked down to the start of the High Line which is a really cool park that was made from the old train lines. The wind was so strong that Elstub had to keep holding on to her cap. We then made our way to the Chelsea Markets and strolled through there for a while.
Then it was a walk through Greenwich Village, which I loved! If we ever move to New York this is where I'm living. A quick look at a real estate window and my dreams are crushed. The cheapest we found was a tiny studio apartment for just under a million bucks. Looks like I'm coming back to The Bra after all. We got to Soho and finally had to admit defeat. In this kind of weather there is only one thing to do ... SHOPPING!
We went back to the Port Authority bus terminal and jumped on a bus to Woodbury Common. After a few hours we jumped back on our bus with a pair of Nikes each and I am now the proud owner of 3 pairs of True Religion jeans. All for the price of only 1 pair at home. It's been a good day for Ross.
