Spent the morning (Mon 26/1) on hot water beach, Al took the boys down while I sorted out the van - there's plenty of room don't know what we were worrying about!! I met them at the beach and we experienced the hot water effect. We didn't dig a huge hole but just by digging your feet down in the shallows you could feel boiling water - almost scalding!! Hi, we are now officially travellers! We spent our last day in Auckland visiting the museum - a bit like the Natural History Museum, and we managed to catch a maori show where they told us all about their customs showed us their weapons and of course did the Haka! Thomas was fascinated and is working out how I can make him a maori costume when we get home! Now in Auckland. The flight here was fine Joe slept most of the way, Thomas not quite so much but they were great really. Got here at 5.30am - taxi straight to the hotel which is really nice we didn't remember it being so good when we booked it! Luckily they let us in to the room 'cause it was the crack of dawn!
