Now in Auckland. The flight here was fine Joe slept most of the way, Thomas not quite so much but they were great really. Got here at 5.30am - taxi straight to the hotel which is really nice we didn't remember it being so good when we booked it! Luckily they let us in to the room 'cause it was the crack of dawn! Had a great breakfast in the hotel then headed out on a sightseeing bus to take in the sights. Watched some people bungy jumping from the sky tower - tempeted to have a go but we'll see! Anyway we stopped first at the Antarttic and underwater centre, they have penguins in proper snow and ice, stingrays, sharks - the boys loved it. Then we got on the bus again and headed out to the zoo. It's a great zoo, really lovely cages for the animals and they saw things like elephants that they hadn't seen before. We had a great time - very hot and started to flag towards the end. The bus was late picking us up due to some major traffic issue - a shooting or something!! and the boys fell asleep on the way back, they're a dead weight to carry! When we got back to the hotel we woke them up so they'd sleep later and we all went for a swim in the rooftop pool - fantastic veiws of the city. Then we went to a chinese restaurant for tea, Thomas fell asleep and Joe was on his way there so we quickly ate up and tucked them up in bed. They both slept in 'til 8 - we finally managed it, had to bring them to the other side of the world but it worked in the end!! Just had a great breakfast then we're off agin, hopefully a boat trip round the harbour then the museum which the boys are desperate to do. So far so good - New Zealand is great! Packing up tonight to get the campervan tomorrow. Added some LA photos but it took so long so I gave up halfway through.
