I caught the train up to Liverpool this weekend as the start of my school holidays. I'm heading to Scotland- but I had to stop here first! I have had a bit of a thing for Merseyside music of the 60's so this is kind of a dream come true. The first thing I did when I arrived was take advantage of the sunny skies and hopped on the ferry- I've been singing "Ferry 'cross the Mersey" for weeks now and I finally did it! The annoying thing was that the ferry was overrun by pirates in bid to promote the new animated movie.. But I could overlook that. The rest of the afternoon I spent walking around and on board the open top tour bus. Today (Monday) is my Beatles day. First of all I went to the Beatles Experience which was so cool. Definitely worth going to. I then hopped on the tour bus again and headed up to The Cavern and Mathew St for more Beatles fix :) I quite like being near the water again- Coventry is so far from the ocean haha.. Tomorrow I head for Glasgow, via Manchester!
