I finished my TESOL course on Friday, and spent the weekend with a bunch of crazy Canadians, cracking terrible ya mumma jokes and improving my dancing skills. And now it's time to find a job! I've got a small job lined for mid-week in a city on the coast doing student interviews for one day. I got it through some random Americans that I met on the bus. It's pretty much a working holiday, all expenses paid, which is why I agreed to it.
So after I get back to Saigon I'll find a proper job and hire a motorbike. It's way too easy to hire a bike here. It's ridiculous. You don't need a license or anything, just a copy of your passport. Alhough I think it's illegal for a foreinger to ride a motorbike here, but the police don't seem to care. Most people just bribe them if they get pulled up about it anyway. Its just the way it works here.
Argh, too much has happened to write here! Every day is another adventure here, pretty much. I don't think I can go back to the normal routine back home. I've caught the travelling bug, it seems. It's just so easy to make friends when living abroad. I've lost count of the people I've met already and its only been a month!
I think I'm very much still in that 'honeymoon period'. Apparently that lasts for 3 months and then you have three months of missing home real bad. After that, you don't really know where home is. I think I wanna test that theory.
