I'm feeling pretty settled into Saigon life now. Every day is still something new, but it's starting to feel more like home. I'm starting to pick up a bit of Vietnamese too, which is cool.
I've been hanging out with Brendo and my classmates all this week, after class. I think I could cut down on my spending a bit though, I'm still going out every night. It does add up, but I'm spending around $7 on an "expensive" day.
And bloody hell, too many late nights. Its 12:45am and I'm wrecked. I have to wake up tomorrow at 7.30am. I'm in zombie mode for most of the morning....just like I was in high school, as a matter of fact.
I had my first "real" practice teaching lesson this afternoon, just a one-on-one lesson, which went for an hour. The prep was really rushed though, which didn't help. Still, it was fun and the lesson went according to plan. They taxiied us out to an international high school for it.
I am realy enjoying teaching, from the little that I have done so far, that is. On Friday I have my first full-size class teaching practice lesson, which should make for an interesting experience, to say the least.
Anyway, I have the hiccups now, and I need sleep......
