Wednesday July 9th 8:00amYesterday was pretty tough.I haven't gotten much better.I am okay in the beginning of the day; I could eat and my stomach didn't feel too bad but by the end of the day I was exhausted and my stomach hurt and any sight of food made me want to vomit.I regret not bringing more food from home now. Some trail mix sounded really good but either I only packed one or they are hidden in my toy bag.Last night I went to bed without any dinner.I have the feeling that I will be losing a couple of pounds here and if you've seen me you know I do not have a lot of pounds to lose.I took some photos of the alley way we walk to get to Dr Nanda in the morning. When I get them up you'll see a picture of my co-students/friends Clint and Zoey. There are both pre-med students from OSU and Washington respectively. We are all doing the 10 week program here in India whereas all the other students are only doing the 4 week program. It will be kind of cool because when they leave a new batch of students will show up and we'll be able to act like we know what's going on here.Which we are starting the get the hand of.Yesterday was a fun day because we got around town to our clinics by ourselves. To get to Dr. Prem Nath's house we get to take vikram number 7 from Baaludur Chowk to Krishna Nadar Chowk.Which means we have to take a little buggy half a mile from one intersection to another (Chowk means intersection). Then we walk another 250 feet to get there. To get back we take the same vikram but in the opposite direction to walk home.Vikrams cost about 9 rupees, three for each of us, which comes to about less than 25 cents or about 50 cents round trip.Pretty expensive, right? It wasn't all good though. It was like 106 degrees here and the walk home from Baaludur Chowk was intense.Yesterday I also got some homeopathic medicine for my bug bites (I have like 9 or 10 already). They bother a lot and add to the whole uncomfortably of my situation. At least I haven't gotten sun burned or anything.I do not think I have malaria even though there is a risk of it here in Dehra Dun.Malaria gives the victim high fever and I have yet to get that.Right now I just have stomach problems.Thankfully, the group here has decided to take a trip downtown for Pizza Hut for dinner tonight.I have yet to adapt to the spiciness of the food and I feel if I see a plate of rice and daal I'll have to take a leave of absence from eating all together.I hope everyone at home is doing well.Feel free to post on the forum page so I can find out what's going on back at home.I miss everyone and America very much.Hope to hear from youTaylor
