End of Week 3 in Dubai means I have finished Safety and emergency procedures and am half way through Ab Initio. The hardest bit is over but I need to constantly re-read my manuals so I can tell the differences between our 2 aircraft types (airbus and Boeing) and it's straight into security and first aid next week.

I finally got to see the Burj Al Arab, the famous 7 Star hotel. Went to the mall again (!) and got some more bargains, it was the last day of the shopping 'festival' sales.

Had a few nights out during the week, it was nice and really broke the week up. College is really good fun but tiring and we all just want to get it over with and start flying. Saying that, this is the only time I'll be with these people so much so we are trying to make the most of it. We're all becoming closer in the batch which is really nice. There is an awesome restaurant that has all you can eat buffets every night, I went two nights in a row this week! British night I had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, then Seafood where I had sushi, shrimp, crab, paella, Mussels and both nights I had chocolate fountain for dessert. You may have noticed I have stopped posting pics of me for the time being as I think I've put on a few kg. It's hard because we are sat down all day at college and then I don't have the energy for a work out. I've been going to the gym, but not as much as I was by any means.

A few of you know already, that I have to take half my annual leave before July 4th. Therefore I have put a request in for a week off mid April, and a week off end of May. Should be good if I get those dates, will be in time for everyone's birthday and the arrival of Eric and Elmo.

What else… still haven't been out sunbathing yet, it was lovely weather every day I was at college but today I'm off and it was a lot cooler.

My graduation date is March 13th, and I'll have 2 flights were I am shadowing someone. I get to sit in the flight deck for take off and landing and they are turnarounds so I won't be getting off. It'll probably be a flight to Karachi or Kuwait.
