So I arrived in San Francisco on Sunday night (10th) and found the hostel really easily, was there in 10 mins from greyhound depot. Went up to my room and found 5 boys in there which was a bit of a surprise seeing as I had only shared with 1 girl previously. They werent very talkative at all, which made me even more nervous!

The next morning I arranged to go on the walking tour with Mary, one of the staff who does a 3 hour walk of San Francisco, it was free so I thought, why not?! There were 2 english girls and a italian guy on the walk. It was great to actually be able to talk to people properly and it really put me at ease. The walk was really fun and informative and I felt much more comfortable walking around it seeing as everything was more close together than L.A! Ended up finishing the tour at 2pm then went with the girls for fish n chips on the pier and yes, the seagulls are worse over here!! After that we went into a bar for a cider, Samuel Smiths is their english cider, I'll be honest, never heard of it! The girls gave me loads of advice about travelling and it made me feel so much better.
