Today we drove to Pamukkale today, it has always been a popular settlement where the hot springs were believed to have healing powers. The city became the center of a pagan cult in antiquity,and a spa resort today. The terraces were formed by running 35 degree spring water and contains calcium bicarbonate. When the water loses its carbon dioxide it leaves limestone deposits.
Pamukkale means "cotton castle" in Turkish.The ancient city of hierapolis founded by Pergamum in 2C BC was built on top of the white "castle" and peope have bathed in the pools for thousands of years inc cleopatra.

So basically I'm covered in cleopatra germs,awesome!

Ash and I got in the knee deep water for a paddle and a few pics. We has to laugh at all the European girls posing like they were trying to be professional models,I think a lot of them were Russian as Baris said they love to come here. So we decided to have some sexy posing shots just as it seemed to be the "in thing",we could barely keep a straight face.

The way the whole thing had formed was quite amazing and beautiful and was so high up so it overlooked Pamukkale. It was so hot and humid which wasn't fun,it's mostly been a dry heat we've been having. After we were done we headed to our next hotel for a swim and a relax.

Food was good for dinner one of the best,and iv been skipping dessert normally but not tonight,profiteroles,creamy slice baklava oh there was so much stuff!

Although I was struggling to keep my eyes open I made my self stay up so I could watch the belly dancing show at 9.30. She was really good,after she danced by herself she picked about 7 guts from the audience to dance,two of our boys went up and about 5 asians was sooo funny we were all rolling around pissing ourselves over what she was making them do. I probably shouldn't have laughed so much because of course when it was the girls turn I got picked, along with 3 other girls from my group,so I now know I can't belly dance and never belly dance in a tight mini skirt,not so great,but funny all the same.

I was well and truly ready for bed after belly dancing. Off to my private room for sleep.

Off to bodrum tomorrow to board the boat yay!
