This morning started off awful. I do not ever ever recommend drinking right before a 9 hour boat trip with wind expected. Today we sailed out of Bodrum and headed for the island of Kos. We are getting fed breakfasts and lunches on the boat. In Greece there isn't much importance placed in breakfast rather lunch and dinner,breakfast is late around 9/10am lunch around 3pm and dinner at about 9pm. Today 13 of us were off to Bodrum for the Greek islands sailing part of the trip. Today we drove to Pamukkale today, it has always been a popular settlement where the hot springs were believed to have healing powers. The city became the center of a pagan cult in antiquity,and a spa resort today. The terraces were formed by running 35 degree spring water and contains calcium bicarbonate. This morning we visited Kaykoy which is the"ghost town",now preserved as a museum village, consists of hundreds of rundown but still mostly intact Greek-style houses and churches which cover a small mountainside. It was mostly still standing,a few earth quakes and time had deteriorated it but as a whole it was impressive to see what would have been a whole community on the hillside at the sane time it was a little eerie because it was so deserted.
