We arrived in Mykonos and caught the bus into town for our orientation walk. Mykonos isn't nick named the island of wind for no reason! So so windy and apparently it's like that all the time. We walked through the town and met the islands pet pelican "Pete",pretty cool pet if you ask me he wouldn't let anyone touch him except this old Greek man who cuddled it and grabbed him.
We walked through the first bar we'd be going to tonight which ironically enough was called kastros... On a the gay island,go figure.
After our orientation we had free time to do what ever we wanted till that night so I hunted around for a particular charm I'd been looking for for my bracelet which I found, the lady in the shop said its a traditional Greek symbol and means prosperity.
Had a fairly laid back arvo walked home with ash and Jim and went to a bar that had wifi then went to the supermarket and bought some vodka and mixers and drank on the top deck of the boat to the sunset. When we were ready we headed back into town for dinner and then go to some clubs.
We went to kastros for some quite drinks then went to a club in little Venice and partied there till about 3/4 in the morning. I needed my gyros feed so ash Mel and I went on the biggest man hunt to find somewhere that was open and served gyros. We met some funny old guys on the way that pointed us in the general direction and eventually deep into the guts of Mykonos we found gyros, happy days.
We somehow managed to make it back out of the way we came in and trekked it home.
Jimbo had gone m.i.a after one of the bars so we found out when we got back he'd made his way home to have some sneaky drinks with the boat crew and partied on well after me.
Once on the boat I grabbed my sleeping stuff from below deck and crashed out on one of the big deck lounges.
Awesome last night with my turkey/greece crew will definitely miss them.
Over and out xx
