Today we sailed out of Bodrum and headed for the island of Kos. We are getting fed breakfasts and lunches on the boat. In Greece there isn't much importance placed in breakfast rather lunch and dinner, breakfast is late around 9/10am lunch around 3pm and dinner at about 9pm.
We walked around Kos which is the birthplace of Hippocrates 'the father of medical sciences' we saw a 560 year old tree Hippocrates taught under and a few more ruins, definitely seen my fair share if ruins getting a little over it. After our guided tour we had free time,I chilled around the square using the wifi then a couple of us went for an early Pre dinner cause we were hungry and we were going out drinking later so never good in a full stomach.
This was our first and definitely not our last experience of gyros. Love love them, warm pita bread with tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, onion, capsicum and hot chips all wrapped up. In a meat eaters case you get beef or chicken in it. After our food we went back to the boat and got ready to go out for dinner and clubbing after.
It's a huge help having a tour guide they take you to good restaurants and get good deals on food and drinks when we go to bars. After dinner we headed to the first bar for cheap cocktails and made our way around a few different clubs during the night. I managed to lose one shoe in a club :( as you do took it off when I went on the pole with our group and only one was there when I got back hmmm
After sufficient dancing partying and drinking we headed back to the boat before we set sail for a nine hour boat trip to Amorgos.
Over and out xx
