Well today we arrived at Icy Strait Point which is a concealed retreat which can be found within the inside passage and by air it is 50miles west of Juneau and 60 miles north of Sitka.it is just south of Glacier Bay where the most impressive of all marine life can be found Icy Strait Point is located near the city of Hoonah the largest native Tingit Indian settlement in Alaska. Home to a historic cannery the ports connection to the sea is strong. Locals share the sea with humpback whales orcas and Dalls porpoises seals sea otters halibut and all five species of Pacific salmon. As the ship cannot get into shore we have to be ferried across by small boats we decided to give this town a miss Karen John and myself went for a mini pamper session which was so good John booked hisself in for another one in two days time Chris was good he went to the gym we told him to work extra hard and burn of some fat for us John said he was working a sweat up just thinking about it all in all we had a relaxing day. I must just add this comment in I had taken a lot of photos of every where but left John in charge of downloading them to my iPad while I had a shower and he did such a good job and deleted them from my card and iPad hence not many photos love you John xx
