I woke up early, no idea why cos 5.30 was totally uncalled for. Unsuccessfully trying to go back to sleep I gave in just after 6 and went out on the balcony to finish off last nights blog. It was sunny with no land in sight, it was wet so at some point we'd had rain. After only half an hour the weather turned a little with the sun giving way to heavy clouds, hopefully not something that's going to settle in for the day. By the time we saw land the skies were clear, the water was crystal clear and we could again see gar fish swimming around the boat. After a quick breakfast we headed on foot into town, about a 10 minute leisurely walk past, oddly enough, a lot of jewellery stores and places selling various tours. We found a patch of white coral sand and went for a swim, the water was just the right temp, gentle waves and not too many people. There were dark patches not too far out so we decided to go back to the boat and grab our snorkel gear to take a look. Not to far along the beach we found the ship to shore water taxi, $7 ea for all day as many times a should want so usedbthatnto quickly get back, grab our gear and return to the beach. Whilst it was again nice in the water the dark patches turned out to just be weed :-( We saw a few sea slugs and one puffer but that was about it. Back to the boat, very late lunch and then we did some exploring of the ship finding quite a few things we'd not previously found including the casino, art gallery and shops. The shops prices seem surprisingly reasonable considering we are a bit of a captive audience. Dinner was formal night, neither of us really came prepared for that but we did our best and got away with it, most went all out, suits for the men, gowns for the women. It was again a lively affair with lots of laughs with our fellow diners. At one point the staff came to our table and presented Robert with a slice of choc cake with a candle and sang happy birthday, we all joined in of course. Meanwhile Robert sat there looking somewhat bewildered, turns out his birthday in is Jan lol when he booked, in Jan he said its a birthday treat lmao too funny. After dinner we again went for a walk around the ship to try and reduce the impact of all the food and stopped off to get some info on tomorrow's port, St Kitts.
