Neither of us slept much, no idea why so got up to check out the sunrise at 7am which was awesome
Cooked our own breakfast, such a treat to have a full kitchen. The steak and veg for dinner last night was a very welcome break from our usual salads or eating out.
We hit the road early and headed straight for the Kennedy Space Centre. By all reports its a 5 hour day there, we didn't quite believe that but as we left at 6pm having been there for 7 hours and not gotten to everything we believed it lol
We didn't stop for lunch, drinks, nothing. All that time was spent checking it all out. We did an initial two hour tour which went into quite some detail and showed us around some of the launch pads, construction zones etc. along the way we spotted some alligators, heron and heaps of buzzards. Much of the land NASA has is a wildlife preserve with the alligators referred to as unpaid security, they say there are about 5000 of them so not many would try and get where they shouldn't be!
We did as much as we could, went to one of the two IMAX movies which was about the Hubble, checked out the new Atlantis shuttle incl doing the launch simulator and generally poked about the place. Pete was like a kid in a candy stall, he had a ball.
After there we started heading north, we sort of lost a day by running so late yesterday so decided to give our vague plans of going to St Augustine & Savannah a miss and just headed in the general direction of Atlanta. We got to within a couple of hours of there before deciding to stop at Tifton Georgia. Hopefully we can get an early ish start tomorrow and hit the Atlanta Aquarium and head on out of town a couple of hours after it.

Dee Watch out for zombies, you're headed right into The Walking Dead territory! :)
Sue Lol@Dee is that where it's filmed or set? That's one of the 100+ shows we have on a hard drive to watch "when we get the time" but it never seems to happen.......
Dee Both! Once you start watching it you'll be hooked :)
