Today was another battle here in Florence but it payied off. We woke up pretty early like 7:15 ish had breakfast and raced to the duomo and stood in line to go up to the top which is the highest look out in florence. We got in and started the hike up and it's could be challenging for some but not for Tara and I. There were 463 steps up and not regular step steep steps and really narrow step winding ones that made u dizzy then there were ladder steps and also steps that made you feel like you were climbing a ball. The look out was amazing but we had to race down and head for tour to lucca and Pisa which was picking us up at the train station. So after making it down 463 steps we had to run in the heat to catch our bus we just made everyone was waiting oops sorry. We went to lucca first we rented bikes and cruised the old town. There were all the same sites to see. We only had an hour so we made the best of it. We then went to Pisa to see one of the 7 wonders of the world the leaning tower. Wow is all I have to say we were blown away, it looked fake. It was awesome to see all made of white marble it took 100 years to make and three different arctics to complete. We took a bunch of pics had some drinks and looked at cheep italian junk for a bit. Now for the ride home which wasn't do nice Tara near past out cause it was so bloody hot in the van, everybody was pissed there was 12 of us and the a/c was cranked but with the sun and 12 hot sweaty bodies it couldn't keep up. After an hour and a half we made it back. Tara was dripping and flush red. We went to mc d,s to cool down and grab a bit they have the best fries over here. After we freshened up back at the hotel we went off to dinner. Once seated we realized we didn't hit the bank machine so Tara stayed in the restaurant and I did the Florence 500 in search of a machine to no avail. So I did the florence 200 to get the master card back at the hotel which we didn't bring with us. On the way back i also got to see a couple of wops duke it out in the street, it wasnt the best area. But the restaurant came recommended its almost 100 years open and family owned/operated. The meal took a bit but was great. I wanted the special steak again but the minimum was .8 kg and that's to big and to expensive for 1 person.
