An early start today 3:45am for Tara's photo walk with Arved. Venice was something different at that time in the morning still dark out there was next to no one around we walked the narrow streets and alleys making our way to st marks square where there first photo shots would take place. Arved was excellent with telling Tara what to do with her camara and also with giving us some history on our surrounding. Thinking I would be back in bed in three hours I just let them do there photo thing. I got bored so I to shot some photos with my I phone and listened in on what he was teaching or explaining to Tara. We went to too many places to name basically getting lost in Venice. We stopped for some coffees and some buns, and continued on. Arved was enjoying our company just as much as we were enjoying his ,a really genuine guy. We stopped again for coffee later and again for Ice cream. After 7 hrs of taking photos with Arved we stopped for lunch and a spritz his treat and Tara's 3 hour walk was over. Being up that early I thought was going to be difficult, but once you see streets and plazas that are usually packed with thousands of people all completely empty it all changes. We had a siesta for 2.5 hours and then hit the streets again now crowded with tourists and locals, we just wandered and window shopped. We must have walked over 10k in total today. There's no bikes cars or mopeds allowed. The only transportation is by boat. It was a real welcome change from all the other places we've been. We had a great dinner and then headed for the fart sack. All of our aches and pains are even worse but all well worth it.
