hola

the weather is so hot here at the moment, definitely hotter than last month! i got back after teaching today to be told that the new monkey had escaped and somehow managed to squeeze through the bars of my window and eaten my fruit! i´m not sure how much mess was made as it was all cleaned up when i got back but my skirt had been washed and the floor cleaned!

there were no classes on monday so a few of us went to the beach and had a picnic. strangely they dont seem to have picnics over here. the boys were horrified when we wanted to sit on the tiled area in town by the river - apparently its the equilavent of having a picnic on london bridge! we gave in and found a beach. i was impressed at the resourcefulness when diego used the top of a can of tuna to cut the tomatoes as we didn´t have a knife!

anyway, i´m off for a swim!
