Ghost town…

Manila is a ghost town. Now there is a sentence I didn't think I'd ever say. But it is true, on Sundays the city shuts down. It is the worst in Makati; no fast food, banks or convenient stores, no people pushing and pulling down the streets, no crowds and even hardly any cars!

But of course one thing doesn't shut down- the Malls. So to Greenbelt I went to meet up with the University of Sydney intern, Chris Martin. We enjoyed a seafood lunch and got to know one another. We both concluded that neither of us were scary cut-your-throat-to-get-a-head type students so we should get on fine J

I ended the night with drinks at a pub right below my apartment. I literally get off the elevator and I am there!

It really is a small world, sitting opposite us in a booth were two young Australian tourists from Lanecove, they were also what we affectionately call, 'Lads'. That is right I travelled thousands of miles and I still manage to find two Nautica shirt wearing Aussies. Fun!
