Philippine Daily Inquirer…

In true Filipino style my first day at the paper was quite a shemozzle. But I was fed three different Filipino foods for 'Merienda', which means 'snack'. However their snacks are nothing like a muesli bar to see you through to dinner- this is a full feast! Which included noodles, salads and even traditional Spanish stews! So at about 4pm every day they dig into their snacks lol.

Long story short, I have elected to cover sports for the first week of my internship with the PDI (Philippine Daily Inquirer) and I will be accompanying another journalist to a basketball game on Friday night, I can't wait! Not only will I get to see how a sports journalists works in another country but I will also get to see a Philippine Basketball game up close, one of the things on my to-do-list while I am here.

It is the plan to move into news and politics in the last two weeks.
