hey, well we're all back safe and sound in the sunny old UK. Oh wait no, its pissing it down in the UK (standard). Firstly sorry for the lack of blog for the last few days but it was 1 Euro for 15 minutes so being student we couldnt handle that.
So Athens was ridiculously hot, about 29c, and where we were staying was beautiful. We took in the main sights on the first day the Accropolis (amazingly good views over Athens from there), the Parthenon (the building ontop of the Accropolis) the Old greek courthouse and many more besides. We all decided that we were going to treat ourselves to dinner everynight given that Anna and I love Greek food (and steve would learn to). So we set out for dinner and having stopped for a few photos of the Accropolis and a few shops we found a very greek place. Once seated we paid 36 euros for a litre of wine, 7 local dishes (from a choice of 15), bread and water. Steve found his favourite dish of the holiday in greek sausages and i had my taztiki. We also all enjoyed the dolmades which, for those who aren't in the know, are rice and meat stuffed in vine leaves (amazing).
The next day we awoke to another beautifully sunny day and made our way to the beach. We all went into the sea (a little warmer than the UK but not by much) and then speant the rest of the day reading and lounging around. Not really much to report except that Anna ate her fav Greek dish of haloumi followed by Mousaka which made her very happy indeed.
On our final day of our 35 day tour we lazed around walking to a few sights having a sit down and read. Then we finished off, suprise suprise, with dinner out and had a few drinks to celebrate our travel. Anyway thats all from us for now, i'm sure each one of you will hear about our trip first hand. Thanks for tuning in and bye for now. (until next year when the real travelling begins!)
