Hi there. I have reached bangkok without too many stresses. The flight was 11 hours, uckily the plane was empty so had 4 seats to myself and managed to get a couple of hours sleep, but laying down on those seats was a bit uncomfortable! The air steward got me panicky tho, I suddenly thought i had to get a visa, and they told me I had to before telling me I was ok, I thought I was going to have to get onaplane and go back home again!The hotel is lovely, has air con and even a massage parlour, so may have to get a thai massage before I leave. It is so hot here, it was 33 degrees at 5pm, god knows what it was like during the day. my hotel is only 5 mins walk from Ko San road (backpacker ville), interesting place to walk down, its true what they say about the taxi drivers, they al say 'where u going' and expect you to get in the taxi. Spent the afternoon on a boat on the river, which cooled me down a bit. I am off on a day trip tomorrow to see the old city, then will see the palace on thursday. Bye for now sharon
