Hi all, I arrived in Singapore on friday after a 4 hour bus journey, super vip bus again! Border control in to Singapore is very different to the Malaysian. not only did we have to get off the bus and walk through the malaysian border control, we then got back on the bus for a 100 yards before having to get all our stuff of the coach, carry it up the steps, to passport control and then put it through the xray machines, and then carry it down the other side , at least the next time i do it, it will be at an airport! The hotel we are staying in is pretty cool, it is near little india and walking distance to Orchard Road. We checked out Raffles hotel, and had a singapore sling - very nice. Whats with throwing the monkey nut shells on the floor in the bar in raffles? We all had monkey nuts and were allowed to chuck the shells on the floor, does any one know why? Very strange! Sat was a great day for me, I swam with the dolphins in the dolphin lagoon on sentosa island. What an amazing experience, they were pink dolphins, we were shown hand signals that got the dolphins singing, dancing, jumping, i got pulled along holding onto the finn and got a hand shake. For fourty pounds, I got an hour swim, 2 free photos, a t shirt and free entry into the underwater world. Along with swimming with dolphins we also checked out the night safari. what a great idea! We spent the whole evening there, we got to see all kinds of animals, definately worth checking out.
It is now my last day in singapore, most of the group have now gone their seperate ways, I am just hanging around the hotel with a couple of others until i leave for my flight later today. To summarise my trip over the last 17 days - the group were fantastic, we all got on, the weather has been extremely hot and humid, and the saying for the trip is 'RAMDOM' Everything in Asia is ramdom and doesnt make sense. Well thats it for my adventures in Asia, my next journey starts in Australia. Bye for now
