The last 3 days have been completely dominated by rugby. Well, that and the unbelievable amount of pain we're both in but that comes from the rugby. After the session on Monday we discovered that Alexandra had organised that we go train for another team so on Tuesday night we made our way to club number 2 for another physical and knackering session. Although the new club was nice the group we trained in was much bigger and it often felt like we were getting ignored and the other players didn't trust us to know how to play. Added to that, they all seemed marginally less friendly and the quality wasn't quite as high. We decided pretty quickly that we prefered the set-up at the first club but it was useful to know what else was out there.
After consecutive days training we decided we deserved a little bit of R&R (no Tasha definitely not what you're thinking). So we made our way into town for a few casual beverages and 5 games of pool (which I won all of and Ben's still occasionally cries over).
Woke up on Wednesday and spent the whole day hobbling around. Not playing much before i left for Argentina was really starting to tell and parts of my legs just seemed to have given up. We got a bit daring at lunch time and thew in some green beans (that's right fresh vegetables) to our rice and meat combo lunch, glad to say it worked pretty well.
We were dreading the session on Wednesday night especially when we turned up and the coach told us it was going to be a completely physical session. However for the last of the 3 hours we did do some ball work and it was excellent. They're trying to turn Ben into a flanker which he's keen on and i'm prop. obviously. Ok not really i'm with the backs though i'm a little bit gutted to discover that 9, 10 and 15 all play county but still we both thought we played well and they're eager to get us signed up. It isn't exactly cheap but it's such a fantastic way to meet people and great fun that we're definitely going to do it.
Today we'll probably do nothing but recover from the last 3 days because frankly i can hardly move!
