Hello everybody that´s reading this, i´m writing this, my very first post, in an internet cafe just off the main street of Mendoza called St. Martin. It´s safe to say I´ve had virtually no idea what´s been going on around me while i´ve been here so far. It turns out i understand about 4 words of Spanish and can say about 11. The speed people talk is absoultely terrifying so i´ve been basically eitehr laughing or saying si and hoping to god that´s an acceptable response. Backtracking when you get a weird look is tricky....
We arrived at about 5pm Argentina time (2pm to you guys) and pretty much went straight to where we are living, there´d been a storm earlier so there was no electricity. Our host is lovely and she´s also putting up a Chillian called Phillipe and an Argentinian from Bunos Aries called Miguel (classic Spanish sounding names aren´t they!) It´s been raining here a LOT in the last week apparently and it hasn´t stopped today though everyone tells us this is incredibly unusual, usually it´s like a desert so i´m looking forward to the sunny climate though it is still very warm. Afrer we´d unpacked and such we had a bit of a classic foot ball game at the park Europe versus South America which i´m proud to say Europe secured a comfotable 10 7 victory. We´ve also spied an Irish pub in town which we´ll no doubt be frequenting for the 6 nations!
We´ve got looads of little jobs to do this afternoon like sorting out sim cards and such and my feet haven´t really touched the ground yet it´s all hectic though i´m sure it´ll all settle down when i get used to what the hell is going on! I´m not sure when we start work but i´m assuming it´s next week. Hopefully i´ll be able upload a couple of photos in a second so make sure you check them out!
That´s pretty much it for now more when i can!!
Ciao (which they say a lot here which is odd)
Sam

Vicky Frankland Sounds like your having fun. I hope the weather gets better for you. Miss you, have a great time!
Olivia It sounds crazy sam! Yeah gutted about the rain, that'll change soon I'm guessing :). What's the house you're staying in like? If you don't understand anyone just reply "queso?" I'm sure that will make sense and they wont think you're a weird English boy at all! :D
Joe R Crazy times mate, make sure you keep asserting our footballing dominance, we had a few Europe-Peru matches (naturally, lost them all), but hey, you're (probably) better than me at football. Let's hope the weather perks up eh, it's sunny here :D Don't worry about your Spanish, you should adjust to machine-gun rate speech in a couple of weeks or so. Buena suerte! Soy muy envioso.

Joe R s***, didn't mean to post it twice. Just trying to correct the shocking Spanish :) I'll stop clogging up your comment thing now.
Joe R As if it's starred that out. Anyway, really stopping now.
Josie You spelt after wrong.
Jack its definately spelt Chao. At least thats how our illiterate teacher told us to spell it.
