Set alarm for 8am, didn't get up 'til 9. Dave already gone to work, boys to school (1st day back after 2 week holiday) & Kate doing Uni work on the computer.
Breakfasted, and sorted out the day's route.
First stop: Barren Grounds Nature Reserve for an easy 2km walk to Illawarra Lookout. Then a quick stop at Jamberoo Lookout, to view the valley & coast. Next to Carrington Falls & a couple of lookouts before having lunch (leftover pasta) at Nellie's Glen - pretty, small waterfall - sat on rocks to eat, then went climbing / exploring up the waterfall & saw a big lizard (?Water Dragon).
The on to another viewpoint at Caloola Rise, before driving through Robertson, to Belmont Falls & Hindmarsh Lookout. Didn't stop at Fitzroy Falls, as they wanted us to pay for parking!
Drove down the steep winding road, over Hampden Bridge (oldest suspension bridge in Australia) into kangaroo Valley. Stopped for coffee & ice cream, and the kids bought 2nd hand books. Drove through Berry to Seven Mile Beach, for a short walk on the sand (starting to get chilly!).
Then home, for fish pie & wine!
