well we booked up with all good intention to go on a camel ride the last night we ended up having a few drinks with the guys that work at the hostel and got abit drunk. we woke up and lounged around bny the pool at the hostel when they guys asked us if we wanted to go to the beach with them for a spot of Duning (basically just messing about in 4wd on the beach and dunes) we drove 8 kms down Cable Beach to Willie creek through the sea, over sand dunes, through the nudist beach!(lots of old men!, not a pretty sight!). Afterwards we met a few of their friends back at the main beach for a few beers and to watch the sunset with the camels passing by, very beautiful.

The following day (the day of the races, ladies day) We woke up early and set about finding a nice dress to wear for the occasion, we managed to do this in about 1 hrs (for the both of us!) which is bloody good going! we rushed back to the hostel and got ready in time to make the 1pm bus to Broome Race Course. We put a few bets on, I won $50 and Rach won $30 but then proceed to loose $50 on a silly random game of Heads or tails!!! everyone stands around in a circle and shouts out "who wants to bet $50 on tails!?" Rach got sucked in but luckily I just watched.

Thur 7.08.08. We got picked up by Rico, the German who we are to travel to Darwin with Via the Gibb River Road(a very rough graveled road). We meet with him and pick up the 2 other girls in which we are travelling with. They are also Germans called Katerina and Ami. Slightly outnumbered by Germans we go food shopping and meet up with the 2 other carloads of people who we will travel with for the first day.
