Well here we are in Broome 31/07/08, I've caught up with the last 2 weeks of the blog and were all up to speed.
The drive to Broome was yet again another long, boring one. On driving into the City we were greeted by a train of Camels ambling along the side of the road which was abit random. We found our hostel called Cable Beach Backpackers and settled in. We thought we would get as near to the beach as possible and that is exactly what we did. We are only 300 mtrs walk away which is great, the weather is 31oC most days and the hostel has a lovely bar and swimming pool. We have decided to stay here for a while and chill out as we both like it.
All we have done is lay by the pool or at the beach and have been for a look round at the local hippy market and got a few bits, otherthan we have done nothing and it has been great. We did put poor old Chad (our car) up for sale on fri 01/08/08 and today 03/08/08 he has now officially been sold, for the same price at which we brought him for, which is brilliant as weve have basically travelled 4000kms for free (bar petrol of course). We will be sad to see him go but we are not sure that Singapore would let him into the country.
Tomorrow we are looking to get a Camel Ride along the beach at sunset and we are thinking about going to the Broome annual races on wednesday. We also need to sort out how we are to get from here to Darwin at some point but for the moment we are quite happy to make the most of sunbathing and the great weather & atmosphere.
