Yesterday was our last full day at camp before everyone left this morning. I woke up to run my morning stretch (still popular!) to find my voice was a whisper. I'm sure anyone that knows me at home is disappointed that this couldn't wait till I'm back as I love to talk. It's the second day of camp. Things have been pretty hectic. Last night I managed to get into bed just before midnight but struggled to wake up this morning and have a very sore throat. Probably from all the talking I do. At home I would usually drink lots of tea and suck on lots of orange strepsils, which usually don't do anything, but the nurse insisted, after I told him in conversation that I had a sore throat, to give me medication. I've had 2 different types...

It's 12.40 and I've just got into bed after my first day at camp so here's a short summary so I can go to sleep as I have to be up at 6.30/7.00. We were given the schedule for the week after lunch and were rushing around to make sure everything was ready for camp this afternoon. Campers arrived at around 6 where we introduced ourselves, helped move campers luggage to rooms and went to their orientation to tell them about the week. It was hard not to get emotion...

Yesterday we were trained in first aid and CPR under the American Red Cross. It was fun practicing how to dress wounds, put on slings and how to perform CPR. So good news...I'll be able to save your life if needed. We had last night off - it was needed after the long week!! We sat around playing cards against humanity. For anyone that hasn't played it, it's hilarious. Each player has seven cards each with a usually inappropriate word and you have to pick the funn...
