After saying goodbye to everyone I got on the bus to Boston. I arrived around 4pm and after checking in at the hostel I went out exploring. I walked everywhere I could and my feet clearly aren't used to all the walking! Boston really is a pretty city but nothing like I imagined. It's not your typical city with lots to do and more a lot to just walk around and see. I ended the evening at a restaurant round the corner from my hostel and devoured a pizza. Our party on our last night, playing beer pong and dancing around the auditorium combined with an early start had taken its toll and I was starving! I ended the night watching gossip girl (which I'm now addicted to!). Travelling alone certainly has its pros and cons! I love that I can do what I want during the day but the evenings are a little lonely as I don't want to walk around at night by myself and I think my own company may drive me insane as I love to talk!
On Sunday I went to see Harvard
Walked the freedom trail and wandered around the rest of the city. I tried to do everything I could and saw a lot! Not surprisingly my feet killed after walking for 10 miles! I found a great market which did all kinds of different food - I have mac and cheese which has to be done in America! Melissa arrived on Sunday evening, my Irish friend and I was very glad to see a friendly face! We went for a late night dinner
Kaitlyn and Danielle, two of my American friends, came on Monday. I had such a lovely day with them and I was so sad to see them go! Planning their trip to England and Ireland to visit us though soon!
I'm sitting on my bus in Boston waiting to leave to go to New York. Since I've been before I'm looking forward to just wandering and exploring areas I haven't seen before!
