Got some breakfast from the shop next to the hostel. We tried to figure out the new bus system...couldn't be bothered so we booked a taxi to take us to Paia beach. We got picked up by James, a rather crazy, talkative cab driver. We told him that we needed beach towels so he took us to a discount store on the way, stopped the meter and let us get what we needed. He was soooo funny, describing literally everything in such detail. We got to Paia and he insisted on stopping the metre and driving through paia to show us the town. It was literally 2 streets, smaller than an english village! Ok, we finally got tot he beach....we walked up to see a beautiful palm lined beach with loads of body boarders. It was beautiful, bright blue waters and sunshine!! It did get a bit cloudy through the day but we still managed to catch the sun and have a relaxing day. We tried to catch the bus back, but in such a small town no one seemed to know where the bus stop so we figured that it would be a good idea to give James a call to pick us up! We were exhausted by the time we got back...man he can talk!
We met a fellow english guy at the hostel who was a dental nurse in the navy, he'd been travelling for nearly a year! We all went to go to subway for dinner, sooo cheap!
