I explored again today, spending some time in the massive park, Stephens Green, where I escaped from the rain and viewed the many statues throughout the park. It was nice to see how many people were making use of this park from little children to young adults. It seemed as if everyone was out and about, especially after the rain ended. Near the extensive fence that surrounded the park, I again saw a common sight which was the large amphibious boat of a tour company on the street. I decided to walk by and get some information on where they go and what I could see. I ended up buying a ticket and getting on the very last tour of the day, which was great because there were only around 10 people on it, instead of the usual 25. The tour guide and I playfully joked back and forth because I was the only American onboard. The tour was very informative and I saw more of the city than I had previously seen walking around. The tour took me around the many churches, cathedrals and various streets. It also went near the Guinness factory before entering the Grand Canal, which was interesting because it does not contain water from the Liffey but instead from the river Shannon despite the canal being literally inches away from the Liffey. We viewed the recording studio where U2 has recorded all but 1 album.
