I spent the morning at the airport with no help from Ryanair. I booked a flight with Air Lingus to London Heathrow and then a British Airways flight to Vienna directly, all for over $500 due to the volcano erupting and closing Irish airspace all morning. British Airways is a great airline and I certainly will fly with them again. I arrived in Vienna around 10pm and met with my friend from Scotland, Norin. We explored the city, finding our way to the city center where I had a local hot dog with cheese in the middle that I previously remember seeing on Anthony Bourdain's special in Prague, which is a popular snack in this part of Europe. We saw the St. Stephan's Gothic church which was massive, and we crossed the DanubeRiver which flows very rapidly. We sat and talked in the shopping area which was lit up and later learned that we were sitting on the outside part of the opera house which houses a restaurant. We sat there for quite a while as we didn't get back to the hotel until around 2am.
