We slept in as we were still tired after a partying weekend! After having breakfast in the happy banana restaurant with a hot cup of tea, we were satisfied enough to catch the bus to Galle! Sandra didn't want to go to the Galle Fort as she already been a couple of days before with Stephen and Duffy. So she went to a information centre and us there girls set off to explore the Galle fort! It was interesting, unique and it had the feel of a small town. I went in a tea shop, its shelves was filled with tea, a huge collection to choose from! I tried my luck asking whether there was any samples and he gave me two tea bags to try out! :-) well if you don't ask, you will never get! Along the way to the ocean front, there was a school as seen on picture, and two teachers signalled us to come in. We thought thee were no harm in doing that as I would have loved to witness what the typical Sri lankan school was like. A load of the hand-painted pictures was proudly on display, the teachers gave us a quick tour around, ( it was not that big, only two rooms) I wondered to myself why did they want us to come in? Soon after they revealed their ulterior motive....they wanted us to donate towards repairing their new roof. I did not mind as the roof genuinely looked like it was going to cave in so I put some money in their donation box. They had the cheek to ask for more! Anyway we stopped by a couple of shops which was gorgeous, very colourful and inspirational. Time was not on our side as we felt bad for Sandra waiting for us plus we had to go back home to get ready for school the next morning so we grabbed a vanilla milkshake from a cafe featured in lonely planet guidebook! It was very very mouthwatering! Hmm. We met up with Sandra and got the express bus back to maharagama which took a hour and half. Sandra and Frankie got another bus to Pettah which was in Colombo, I felt a bit sorry for them as they had to get another bus from Pettah to their school. That night I texted them saying that I've arrived home around 6, they texted me back saying they arrived at 9.30pm! Ouch....
