Felt much better until i went outside and didnt feel too steady on my feet. Had an easy day today and went to the internet and lounged about upstairs on the roof top.
Met an english guy who was staying the hostal and chatted to him for a bit.
Went to hotel pool again and tried to take bus to Dahab at 4.30pm. Unfortunately bus was full up so bought my ticket for the next day.
Went out with the hostal manager to eat proper egyptian food and to see belly dancing in a nightclub. He spoke very good english and nice to talk to an eyptian rather than trying to barter with the price all the time. Before the belly dancing went to a local bar where its typical to try sheesha (smoking honey or apple flavoured tabaco through a long pipe) It is very common here in Egypt and was fun to try but not going to take it up permanently!
The belly dancing was a funny experience as its basically all men sat down drinking and smoking watching one bellydancer dance. She will dance for about 10 minutes whilst the compere will sing whilst she dances and then stops for a 5 minute break whilst the compere will collect more money for her (and him) and then she will dance again and repeat this for the whole night. The most entertaining part was there was a gay man who was watching the bellydancing and sat on the front row. He was mimicking the bellydancer and actually danced much better than the bellydancer and really camp!!
Went to another night club to see another bellydancer show and was even better as the band was live with bongo drums which was better than the previous venue as it was just with a synthesizer and the comperes voice.
Overall a good night and felt shattered and hit the sack at 3am......
