Today is the last day of the cruise! 12 memorable days sailing the Mediterranean is certainly an amazing thing to do and I thank every day that I have been lucky enough to have this experience. Today's plan is to enjoy the amenities on ship for one last time, but more importantly to revel in our approach to Venice. What a great last day. As we approach Venice the weather is very overcast , but not cold but this doesn't take away from the spectacular views of the Piazza San Marco , the Doge's Palace and the Basilica. We must present a sight ourselves, to the 1000's of tourists on shore who are watching us enter the Duidecca canal and make our way to the cruise ship terminal. It begins to rain just as we port! Grant and I decide to brave the rain and head off the ship, however you will all be pleased to know that it is pouring here and we only last about an hour on shore!! Venice in the rain is not the greatest place to be!
We head back to the ship for final farewells before our disembarkation the following day.
