Soo this week thus far has been CRAZY! anna and i have been keeping it pretty mellow for the most part, but ill catch you guys up.
Sunday: whatev day, but we went over to trasetevere to make dinner with some friends and learn how to shuffle. we have a group together thats attempting to do a flash mob one day if we can get good enough.
Monday: school, school, more school. we were informed that we were going to have a composition on tuesday and have to write in italian sooooo pretty much we just crammed for that by making flashcards, oh and taking a study break to get some gelato . yuuummyyyyy!
Tuesday: composition went well. we ended up having to write an email in italian to a friend and tell them what i like to do in rome. these intense italian classes are so intense! but its kinda nice, its forcing me to take up the language a bit more. before class i also went to a meeting at school regarding volunteer opportunties through the school. i signed up to volunteer at a jewish cultural center to help kids with homework, learn english, and play games so hopefully i get to do that! OH and before school anna, alexi, and i went to the farmers market that is near our apt. its AWESOME!!! theres everything there, fruits, veggies, rice, WINE, meat, cheese, everything. we got a liter of wine for 2 euro! delicious! and of course some veggies and sandwhich materials. we then spent the night studying away for not one, but TWO more midterms. one written test and another oral test. so anna and i took a study break to find pasteries around 9pm and came across the BEST BEST BEST pastrie place OF ALLL TIME. ill upload a picture of what i got later but its the best chocolate cake (the piece was HUGGGEE by the way) and the densest chocolatey , sprinkle covered chocolate cake ball. oh my goodness DELICIOUS! ill have to upload the pics. and the best part only 2 euro for both! YEEEESS
Wednesday: midterm day :|. i studied all morning, and went to school but the written part went pretty well i must say. parts of the irregular verbs were a bit tough. and for the oral we had to have a partner, write a conversation and memorize the convo in 20 then without notes have the perfectly memorized and gramatically correct conversation in front of our teacher. AH i was so freaking nervous. so anna and i volunteered to go first, which ended up being a fabulous idea. we ended up doing great!!! we asked our professor after if she had anything to critique us on and all she said was BENE (which means great) woo HOOO so pumped!
so to celebrate we went with some students to to an irish pub afterwards to have a drinnk then went home and got a delcious kabab on the way , and it had french fries in it. YUMMY!
anyways i gotta go pack for ibiza so ill update you guys in a week when i return!
