So after seeing loren off we attempted to wake up and go to the vatican on the last sunday of the month because its free! finding clothes was a struggle enough (since our entire knees and shoulders must be covered) but we finally got ready and headed out. we stopped at a coffee shop near the apartment and they made cute designs in our cappacinos! upon arrival at the vatican we discovered a HUGEEEE line down the street and around the corner. so got over that and we just decided to wander around the neighborhood to familar ourselves with our new home. Then we took the metro to circo massimo to meet up with some classmates for a tour! we saw circo massismo, palatime hill (where the charriot races used to be), arch of titus, the outside of the colosseum, maps of the old roman empire, the forum (which is all sorts of ruins of policical buildings from the empire), and victora emmanuel (which is my favorite monument, the HUGE white marble one). We ended at the theater of pompay where cesar was killed, but now rome has turned it into a cat sancuary and theres a bunch of homeless cats running around there, which is really gross in my opinion. one girl on our tour was petting them, disgusting. since that was the end of the tour anna and i left to meet up with vicky to make home made turkey burgers and french fries, which were nothing less than BOMB. we ended the night by having a sleepover at vickys apt and watching inglorious b******s.
