Todays our last day in Krabi but we r all pretty much spending it in a airconditioned internet cafe as we are all pretty much beached out for the time being (i kno..i didn't think that was possible either but u should see my face..rudolf the rednose raindeer has come out early this year!!! The colour of my nose could definately direct santa's sleigh and i have ridiculous sunglass marks...Sexy!!!)
So as i was saying before we have pretty much jus spent every day here lazing on the beach (altho we have been energetic enough to venture to differnt beachs!) and eating pinapple (best pinapple in the world in thailand..trust me!!), and only really getting off our backside to go in the sea!! ( o yeah and on our first day here we got a thai massage after we'd been on the beach..yeah it's tough!!)
Altho on Phra Nang beach (2nd day) i did do some cave exploring as there were some awesome caves to explore (and i was trying to avoid my nose getting n e redder!!), lots of people were rock climbing in them..i would have liked to give it a try but i think i'd probably get half way up and get stuck!!) so i stuck to free climbing on the easier rocks (still manged to scrape my knee tho- totally accident prone!!). At one point i entered into a cave that seemed to neva end (it was like something out of a horror movie!) and eventually came to small opening that i climbed thru ( I kno i felt like lara craft (without the sexy outfit..and the guns..and the big boobs..ok so not like lara croft but like an sassy adventurer non-the-less!!)) and ended up half way up this mountain ( wish i had my camera with me at this point...u're jus gonna have to take my word for it) and kept rock climbing (getting bitten like crazy!!) until was quite high up and round the other side.. i watched some rock climbers lower down 4 a while (and sat on some red ants..not smart!!) and then thought "how the hell am i gonna get down??!". I did manage it, tho i got stuck at one point near the end spending ages contemplating whether i should jump or not as there were no footholds..i did..no broken bones..thank god!
So that was that day..think we may of gone out to lunar bar that night (was ok night...didn't fill up till late tho and we were bit tired by that point so were home by 2ish.
Yesterday we did a 5 Island tour on a longtailed boat. Was a really good day (had to wear my hat all day tho- protect my illuminous nose!).
The first island was Daeng Island which is jus a great rock coming out of the sea. We did some snorkelling here around the coral reefs, altho the sea was clear and u could see some schools of fish, it wasn't overly impressive, it was nice to do tho.
The second was called Hong island. You enter to it by a narrow passageway which leads onto a gorgeous lagoon of blue and green clear water surrounded by limestone mountains and mangrove froests. Here we managed to see a Salamander (a huge lizard...or minute dinosour depending how u look at it) jus slowly crawling along the sand. And generally jus sunbathed.
The third island was Lading island. Up to a few years ago tourists were not allowed on it and it was left for the people who collected swallow nests and lived there. Now it is sometimes called 'paradise island'- and it is a little bit of paradise!! We were given lunch here but it was cold chicken and rice with a fried egg on top so we decided the fish would enjoy it more than us so we fed it to them!!
They loved the egg and we had loads of brightly coloured fish and some bigger white fish swarming around us nipping our legs!!
The next island was Pakbia island where we saw our first monkey!! The fifth island was called Rai island and was opposite Pakbia island and looked gorgeous!! They should of called the tour 4 and a half island tour tho as u had to make your own way over to Rai island. Which is fine if it was low tide as you can walk across but it was high tide and u had to swim. me and Faye decided to take the plunge...we were warned of the strong current but didn't really listen and at one point i was swimming with all my stregnth but not moving an inch. We did make it ok tho (unlike some old English guy who got stuck in the current and had to b saved..oops) and it was totally worth it!!
Last night we tried out Hippie bar where a canadian-malasian singer played (really chilled out..played damien rice ahhh loved him!!) and watched a fire show, which was amzing!!! They are going to be in hippie bar in Koh Phi Phi tomorro for the half moon party which luckily enough is where we are all going to be..in our plush hotel!!!
Woo can't wait!!!
