So decided rather than to take our chances with PhiPhi (didn't wanna walk around in heat looking for a place to stay with our mahussive backpacks!) to book 1 night in a lush hotel (so expensive..gonna cost us ooh about 9 quid..i kno were really pushing the boat out!) but that is a lot considering the place we stayed in changmai was 1.25 a night!!!!- its got a pool and everything!! so excited!!!

But we couldn't get a booking til the 24th so we thought we'd go to Krabi for a few days first. We planned to leave on the 19th- our transport was to pick us up at 7 from our hostel to take us to the boat so we decided to settle the bill the night before...i don't think i've told u much about the hostel but its relevant to the story so i will now...

 Basically we were in a small dorm at the very top floor (the pent house eh dad?) which had two fans that didn't really work, a strange smell, a bathroom with no curtain (when we walked outside the hostel some thai blokes said 'we kno where u live..we c u in the shower...hmmm thats great- we should have charged...what? every 1 else does it phuket!!) and the bathroom flooded! The owner was a hardfaced chain smoking scottish hag who seemed harmless at the beginning, except she had a tendancy to chew your ear off! She also offered to help with the phiphi nightmare (not being able to find accomadation), but found absolutley nothing, but did get all this info 4 us on transportation to phiphi (which was useless considering we had no accomodation and more expensive than we could get elsewhere, but we humoured her and said thank u..blah blah blah) Anyway, so when we went to pay she gave us the price but hadn't taken off the deposit. So i told her this and she said ' oh i though considering i did all this for you, and found all this infomation for u...' (!??!!) and when it was clear we were not going to pay for it (we pointed out that she'd offerered her help and did not make it clear that that help came with a pricetag, and all her help was useless!!! n e way she moaned for a while about ungratefullness, how she'll neva to favors again bla bla!! ..We decided to bring up all the problems we had with the room and so forth, like the flooding..and she went on to tell us a long winded story about how she thinks someone is sneaking in perhaps thru the cieling as lots of coffee mate is going missing (Huh?!..not really making her hostel sound betta here!!!) so n e way to cut a long story short moral of the story is DO NOT STAY AT THAI ORIENTAL INN in Phuket!!!!

But thats over now and we arrived in beautiful Krabi on the 19th and spent our first couple of nights in an amazing guest house (we booked it by accident thinking it was 450 baht per room when it was actually per person (oops) but it was a very happy mistake as it was really nice after phuket to have a nice room to chill in..in fact the first night we didn't even go out we jus sat in mine and nats room (we managed to blag the best room!!) and ate bad food and watched tv (Dawsons Creak.. Wahay!!!!) But we moved into a cheapy hostel nearby today..back to what were used to...hot and sweaty!!!!

Other than that we have jus lazed on beaches (it's tough i kno..i'm not sure how were coping!), but i'll tell u more about them another time as i'm hungry and the girls are waiting!!
