On Saturday we left the villa and took the train back into Florence. Siobhan embarrassed herself when trying to get off the train, she chucked her big bag off the train without realizing it was attached to her foot, and she ended up falling with it sprawled on the floor of the train station, unimpressed Italians walking over her. We had the most amazing pizza ever for lunch. The pizzas over here are really different to what you get in Australia, in Italy they will only have two or three things on there but the quality of the cheese and tomatoes make it delicious. We checked into a hotel for the night where Siobhan accidentally locked herself in the bathroom for half an hour where she spent the whole time banging on the door and yelling for help before realizing how to unlock it. Afterwards we met up with bonnies Scottish friend Skye. We walked around Florence trying to find somewhere to go out but all the main clubs and bars had been closed for the summer. It was still really lovely walking around and exploring the city at night as it was less crowded and was a lot cooler than during the day. We were bought a drink by some sleezy American/Italians who were not very impressive.it was quite funny though.we convinced them that back in australia you can buy a type of razor that instead of shaving hair off it actually brings the hair follicles to the surface so you can enjoy an instant hairy armpit or a bushy monobrow.Siobhan connived them that some people go to the extremes and actually run the implement down the bridge of their nose to create an alternative look. Saw a few sights on the way home, ate some pizza and went to bed.
Right now we are on the train to cinque terre.it is Sooooo bloody hot and sticky and sweaty and it just smells of man sweat!there are a few tubby hairy Italian men sitting behind us without their shirts on which helping to create the current aroma.
