Sunday
Just as I finished updating the last blog I saw Bonnie jump off the tram and find me, perfect timing! Although it was already two in the afternoon and we were yet to start sightseeing we laughed it off and headed into the city. We walked around in the city and went to the foreshore by the huge river, where we sat for a while and had a picnic lunch. We noticed that across the bridge there was a huge free benefit concert for special needs kids, and there was heaps of music, tai chi and star wars characters! We sat by the river near there and listened to the concert for the rest of the day and had a few beers from the concert. Very different to the events you'd expect in perth, no police, gates or rowdiness you would expect from events serving alcohol, just a very chilled out Sunday afternoon!
Monday
On Monday we went into the city and walked over the main tourist bridge, which was filled with street performers, buskers and caricature artists. Over the bridge it was very touristey, and a lot more expensive then the rest of Prague we had gotten used to. We walked up to the palace where we walked around the palace gardens which were so beautiful and the view from there was amazing, took lots of photos which we will be putting up soon! We went to a few pubs when we realized it was cheaper to drink out then to buy it from a shop, one which was an underground sports bar which looked like it had been carved out of the ground (similar to Michaelas underground dungeon in Burswood) it was lovely in there though they had a big projector set up and was just like a lounge room, only underground and with a bar. We went to another place with a beautiful out door court yard which was attached to an art gallery you could walk around in, however all the art was just people on bicycles. We had a relatively early night that night and walked home along the river which was stunning by night.
