Sunday, the 11th of September
On Friday night we arrived quite late in Prague, and in true eastern European style got completely ripped off by a taxi driver. A lady we spoke to the next morning about it said that in Czech the word for taxi and criminals means the same thing. As they have a different currency to the euro we have gotten used to, we didn't realize until we paid the same amount for an eight minute taxi drive for the both of our accommodation for the next four nights. Oh well. As we didn't arrive until 10.30 that night we had an early night on Friday. The next morning Bonnie woke up with the goal of finding somewhere to watch the Saints vs Swans game. Lucky we found a sports bar and caught the second half, Bonnie was very happy that the Swans won so we celebrated with some very cheap beers. Later on we went into the city centre where we "liberated" a few blankets from a TGI Fridays restaurant, we thought they would come in handy for the next week where we would be camping in Munich for Oktoberfest. We were chased down some alleys where we found a small bar to hide out in, where we made friends with the local bar flys and were treated to many free beers from the bar tender. It is currently two in the afternoon and we have just spent the morning exploring the most beautiful cemetry next to our hostel. I am currently sitting at a tram spot, where I have spent the last half an hour waiting for Bon to realize that I didn't catch the tram she is on and come and retrieve me!
