Apologies for not boring you with my stories over this last week - I haven't had access to internet on my laptop. I will split my Australia trip up into a few parts to give a slightly less long single passage.
This blog will actually start back in Singapore on the morning of my flight. I got up fairly early to get to VJC for 10.00 start. I was done by 11.30, and back at the apartment by 12.00. After packing, having lunch, making sure I hadn't lost anything, and showering, I headed off to the airport. I got through check in without any hassle and spent some time exploring the amazing Singapore airport. The flight to Melbourne was really good, lovely food and also an amazing view while crossing the South Indian Sea. When they dimmed the plane's lights, the stars were crazily good - the sky was full of light. Arriving in Melbourne, I met up with Jane and Hunter (Jane's nephew), headed back to her place, showered, then out into Melbourne. We visited the Shrine of Remembrance, before going down into the city and wandering around, seeing the sights. We then headed over to the Etihad Stadium to watch my first (I think) Australian Football game. After Googling the rules back at Changi airport, I had some idea of what was going on, but it was still pretty much a 'free-for-all' wrestling match with a ball. That evening, we drove round the corner to a pub to eat some food after the game, before getting to bed early after an early start for Jane and Hunter, and barely any sleep for myself.
