Ahh... being with friends is a thing that you never get sick off!
When I came to Adelaide I was sick and tired of sightseeing and being a turist. So I enjoyed staying at Maya's doing ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!
Slowly I regained my energy and went out to explore Adelaide - Carols by Candlelight, pubs, Duncan and friends, museums, Maya and friends, beaches, hikes etc. It was great having a base and a bed I could call 'my own' and sleeping in in the morning, chatting to good friends that I knew - NICE!
The 19 th of Dec. Mum and Simon showed up.They had suddently decided to come downunder for christmas, which was fantastic! Simon saw his country of birth and Mum got a walk down memory lane (and I got to share some good experiences with somebody!). We had christmas at West Beach and then left for Aldinga Bay the 26.th. From there we went hiking in Deep Creek (Maya and Enid were so kind and let us borow their car), surfing in Middleton (yep, Simon and I got a lesson... and we weren't that bad!).
Back in Adelaide we stayed some days with Jo Jo and her family (a girl from kindy!).They had a pool and open arms. We also went to Cleland Wildlife Park and got our picture taken with a koala.
Then came New Years with shorts, warmth and beer...
After that came Kangaroo Island, on which we in a rented a camper van, saw Autralia's amazing wildlife close up - outstanding!
Time flies when you're having a good time, and so does family, so I said goodbye to Mum and Simon on the 10 th. of Jan. They are both home safely now, enjoying their super memories from their trip (I hope)...
Now I have, during the last couple of days, said goodbye to all my friends and tomorrow I'm going to Anglesea,Victoria, to visit Kate....
Bye!
