So, now I'm in Adelaide, after a trip across the Nullabor Plain. It was a good experience with nature, relaxation, different cultures and beer.
In Kalgoorlie I met up with Gareth and his lovely young dog Easter. We drove to Norsman and turned left. Gareth was i Kiwi that had quit his job, bought at dog and a van, and now he just traveled around Australia having fun. We got along well. He did smoke a bit though, but as long as he didn't do it and drive, I was fine (so I drove a fair bit! )
500 km out on the road we met a couple with a young dog on pushbikes. The girl swore that she would not move another inch on that bike, so we gave them a lift to next roadhouse.... which turned in to the other side of the Plain
Elle was from England and Moose was a real aussie! So four people and two dogs drove of, camping, singing, drinking and having a ball.
Our only timelimit was that Gareth had promised me to get me to Adelaide by the 7th Dec... And I did end up in Adelaide before that date... just not via his van.
Gareth only got me to Streaky Bay, which is a 10 hours busdrive from Adelaide. There we were at the bar having fun with the locals, when he out of the blue annoced that he, by the way, was gonna stay in Streaky. He claimed that he liked it there and I had to figure the rest out for myself... Jep, I was mad and sad.
But a couple beers later I found out that he liked me and found it hard being around me. Oh well.
The night ended very late, with a game of strip poker and skinny dipping under the full moon
But here I am now, in Maya's house in Adelaide, after a busride from Streaky to here. I had great fun and met weird and funny people. Go were the wind blows. You might land roughly, but it's fun...
See ya all.... Signe.
